The Hospital-based mental health services: Promoting person-centred and rights-based approaches technical package is part of the WHO Guidance and technical packages on community mental health services set of publications. It showcases a selection of innovative hospital-based mental health services that provide care in general hospital settings integrated within the general health system and with the rest of the community, to facilitate peoples’ return to their lives and communities. This document provides specific guidance for setting up new hospital-based mental health services that protect and promote human rights.
